Where appropriate, we look for opportunities to provide openness between spaces and functions (both within a level and between levels) in order to provide visual and experiential connections and as a way to bring natural daylight and ventilation into the inner areas of a structure. Whenever possible we find creative ways of bringing the natural environment into the built structures, blurring the edges between the two. We believe that strengthening the users connections to the natural environment improves quality of life, reduces stress, and improves concentration and sleep.
